This Arthur Adams Cover is great.
idratherbeloislane:

Wonder Woman to the rescue. I was not fond of Austen’s run on Action Comics, but at least some of the art was nice.

This would make me read Archie Comics again. Jill Thompson’s work is great.

I thought my affection for Jughead/Betty had waned, but this picture by Jill Thompson reignited it. It’s just so adorable and perfect.

Oh my goddess!

[image description: My darling self posing with an issue of Lois Lane and the Resistance #1.]
Please excuse my bad hair and the creepy lamp-man in the background.
I don’t usually make it to the my LCS on Wednesdays, but I made an exception today for Lois Lane’s mini. Which… wasn’t very good. (No spoilers, here there are.) It was certainly better than the first issue of the Wonder Woman Flashpoint mini and Lois was recognizably Lois, but I thought the plot fell a little flat. The issue was also on the slow side, as half of the issue is gone by the time that Lois actually joins the Resistance. What bothered me the most (other than the depiction of the Amazons) was that Lois never wore the badass outfit she is wearing on the cover inside the actual issue. Instead, she wears two white dresses that aren’t supposed to be related to each other, but look almost exactly alike. Which was a weird decision on the artist’s part, but I didn’t care for his art in general, anyway. I would give it three out of five stars and that’s only because it starred Lois. Otherwise, it’s a definite two.
